Magic Loot Dino Event Guide: Ancient Magic Reborn Shop Prices, Roll Odds, and What Free Players Can Get
Last updated: 2026-08-12 ยท Play on Roblox โ
Ancient Magic Reborn is the live Magic Loot Dino Event. We saw its T-Rex icon on the left-side UI, and the game's own title currently carries the [Dino Event] tag.
The event likely ends on or around August 16, 2026. A recording from around August 9 showed 6d 18h 43m remaining. We compute the end date from a dated recording; we did not see an official end date. [single recording]
The headline purchase is the Tyrannosaurus Rex wand: it costs 5,000 Dino Coins (DC) and gives +600M Power, making it the strongest wand we could verify. For a free player, however, the 1,000-DC permanent Primal Stomp Potion is the more realistic target before the likely deadline. The quest refresh cadence is the key unknown.
See the Magic Loot hub for the regular game guides.
Event shop prices
These are the values confirmed independently in two recordings from around August 11.
| Item | Rarity | Effect | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tyrannosaurus Rex (wand) | Ancient | +600M Power | 5,000 DC |
| Primal Stomp Potion | Mythical, Permanent | โ | 1,000 DC (stock 1) |
| Super Training Potion | Rare | โ | 100 DC (stock 10) |
| Super Lucky Potion | Rare | โ | 100 DC (stock 10) |
| Training Potion | Uncommon | โ | 20 DC (stock 20) |
| Lucky Potion | Uncommon | โ | 20 DC (stock 20) |
| Iron Armour | Mythical | โ | 10 DC (stock 20) |
The permanent potion appeared as Primal Stomp in the re-verified shop and as Primeval Stomp in one recording, so its displayed spelling varies.
An earlier recording from around August 9 showed the Super potions at 10 DC and Iron Armour at 20 DC. Either the prices changed early in the event or one recording misread the UI. We list the values confirmed twice on around August 11. [disputed, resolved 2v1]
Can a free player afford the T-Rex before the event ends?
We used only the six undisputed quest rows as the base, then treated the two disputed rows as a range. This assumes a player can finish every listed quest each time the full board becomes available.
| Calculation | Dino Coins |
|---|---|
| Undisputed rows: 6 + 6 + 8 + 60 + 200 + 200 | 480 DC |
| Two disputed rows, lowest readings: 20 + 15 | +35 DC |
| Two disputed rows, highest readings: 80 + 80 | +160 DC |
| One full board clear | roughly 515โ640 DC |
| Board clears for the 5,000-DC T-Rex | roughly 8โ10 |
| Board clears for the 1,000-DC Primal Stomp Potion | roughly 2 |
That makes the T-Rex plausible only if the board refreshes at the fast cycle โ roughly daily or better โ before around August 16. We could not verify that cadence, and the Clear 600 dungeons quest alone makes every complete pass a heavy grind. The permanent Primal Stomp Potion is the realistic free-player target at roughly two full clears.
Roll odds and prices
XiaoPhet's recording and nValid's recording at 03:34 showed the same rewards and odds except for Super Training Potion.
| Roll reward | Recorded odds |
|---|---|
| Dino's Blessing (Ancient Armor, ร5 Power) | 1.0% |
| Pterodactyl (Legendary Broom; fills the Stage 23 broom slot) | 2.0% |
| Raging Bite Potion (Permanent) | 5.0% |
| Super Training Potion | 10% in one recording; 20% in the other [disputed] |
| Super Lucky Potion | 20% |
| Spider's Cocoon | 52% |
One recording showed a free ร1 roll, then 169 DC for one roll or 499 DC for 10 rolls. It also said, "Get a ticket every 15 mins, at most 3 a day." [single recording]
Expected cost of the 1% Dino's Blessing roll
At a 1% chance, the expected number of rolls is about 100:
100 expected rolls รท 10 rolls per batch = 10 batches
10 batches ร 499 DC = 4,990 DC expected
That is about the same Dino Coin price as the 5,000-DC T-Rex. Using the largest recorded Robux bundle, 4,990 DC is about 2.3 ร 2,200-DC bundles, or about 2,750 Robux (roughly $34). This is an expectation, not a guarantee: at 1%, many players will spend far more and still may not receive Dino's Blessing.
The recorded ticket limit of three per day would provide at best about 15 free rolls over the remaining event. [single recording]
Robux Dino Coin bundles
These bundle prices appeared in one recording. [single recording]
| Dino Coins | Robux |
|---|---|
| 300 DC | 179 |
| 1,200 DC | 699 |
| 2,200 DC | 1,199 |
Event quest rewards
Six rewards matched across the recordings. Two did not, so both readings are shown rather than choosing one.
| Quest | Dino Coins |
|---|---|
| Brew 1 potion | 6 DC |
| Defeat 80 monsters | 6 DC |
| Collect 50 materials | 8 DC |
| Clear 20 dungeons | 60 DC |
| Clear 600 dungeons | 200 DC |
| Stay online 240 min | 200 DC |
| Defeat 200 monsters | 80 DC or 20 DC [disputed] |
| Stay online 15 min | 15 DC or 80 DC [disputed] |
The quest UI showed two timers: about 40m refresh and about 8h40m daily refresh. We could not determine which quests repeat on which cycle, so the free-player estimate above does not assume either timer belongs to a specific row.
Where the event items rank
- Tyrannosaurus Rex is currently the best wand we could verify. Its +600M Power exceeds Halley's Comet at +550M, which costs 1.6T Coins or 2,099 Robux in the regular shop. See the wand list.
- Dino's Blessing is stronger than the top regular armor. Its ร5 Power exceeds Starlight at ร4, which costs 100B Coins. See the armor list.
- Pterodactyl fills the Stage 23 broom slot. That slot otherwise appears as event-only in the broom shop.
For the separately tracked redemption list, see the Magic Loot codes page.
How we verified this
We compared event UI footage from XiaoPhet and Jeloy recorded around August 9, then re-verified the shop prices against recordings from nValid and ItsChalls around August 11. The Roblox game page supplied first-party confirmation that the [Dino Event] tag is live.
Where recordings disagreed, this page keeps both values or explains why the twice-confirmed August 11 shop reading is listed. Single-source details remain marked [single recording], and unresolved conflicts remain marked [disputed] rather than being smoothed over.
